Its basically about the idea of not wanting someone you care for / love to just one day decide to box up everything and quit you because you seem like a massive failure in their eyes and they just haven’t realized it until that moment. ‘Don’t Fade On Me’ is both a desperate plea from the narrator to the person leaving but also a plea from the leaver of saying ‘you’ve changed and I can’t see the person I use to know anymore’
